About this wine
From our 1200+ year old vineyard, hand-tended for generations and founded by the Benedictine Monks, this wine is the soul of ancient winemaking. An evocative expression of Italy’s Marche region, this Rosso reveals deep, concentrated black fruit flavors, seamlessly balanced with hints of spice, herbs, fruits, and earth. Deep with richness of soul and history, our 100% montepulciano is a full-bodied red wine which establishes fine ripe blackberry, plum, subtle vanilla and tobacco from french oak, with a lovely hint of nettle and hedgerow. It remains bright fruit throughout with calcareous minerality, spices, and a long smooth finish.
